Nellie is a pretty cool dog - that's why she has to wear her shades :) The FCHS has had Nellie for a long time, and she's one of those dogs that has the "3 Strikes" rule against her: She's part pit bull, she hates cats, and she is picky about her doggy friends. But we believe a forever home for Nellie can be found, and we aren't ever going to give up trying! Nellie was in a foster home for several months with two young children. Nellie absolutely loves kids! However, she just wasn't getting the socialization she needed, and her foster family had to move and couldn't take Nellie with her, so Nellie is now in a foster home where she's enjoying daily walks to the park with her foster dad and meeting all kinds of new people. Nellie is very fat, but now that she's getting some much needed exercise, we are hoping she starts shedding some pounds real soon! Nellie is up to date on her vaccinations, she's spayed, and she's house trained. Nellie will make a fantastic friend for any single person or family who doesn't have any other pets.
